What a great weekend! We went to the lake with our friends, the Bright's. We have had dinner with them and playdates, but this was the first time to spend quite a bit of time with them... and we loved every minute. Tiffany and I got to be friends last year when we exchanged JLD emails and realized that, not only did we BOTH have blogs, but we BOTH had babies at the same time last year! We have really bonded this past year over the development of these two precious kids and I was so happy to spend time with her.

Also, it is always a great concern of mine that Danny gets along well with the hubbies of my friends. And, I must say that Lee and Danny really seemed to hit it off. They had lots to talk about and even discovered they had some shared experiences (including being in the same fraternity but at different schools), but where they really bonded was over the Wii! Both of Cooper's grandmothers purchased the Wii gaming system this year and we are having a lot of fun with it, especially when we go to the lake. But, holy cow, it really got a work out this weekend. Lee and Danny played each other at everything from MarioKart to Golf to Bowling and even to Tennis... which was kind of funny to see them jumping in the middle of the living room, in front of the TV and waving their arms all over the place. Tiffany was dying to see them Box each other, but they were so exhausted from Tennis that they had to pass.

Of course Ellie is a doll. Neither she nor Cooper are at the point where they play WITH others yet... they are still in the parallel play stage, but they played right along side each other all weekend (click here for great pics). And Miss Ellie is quite the diva. She made her self at home and helped herself to Cooper's water bottles and sippy cups but really showed her temper if he even got near hers. However, Cooper, who was dazzled by her cuteness, let her do whatever she wanted! His Mommy taught him well!
