We began our Thanksgiving festivities with the Turkey Trot. This was Cooper's first trot, Mommy's second, and Daddy's... well, he has done it lots. Joining us was Aunt Stacy, Cousin Zach and Grandmother. We worried about Grandmother, because this was her first Trot ever and we didnt know if her SAS shoes would cut it. Anyway, it was pretty darn cold out that morning, so we did what we could do bundle up little Coop. He was pretty warm with his hat and sweater, but Mommy didn't do nearly as good a job with his hands and feet as I thought. When we got home they were icicles... but Cooper didn't cry at all. He napped through the Trot itself, but was awake before and after. What a little trooper!

Then we went to the lake for Thanksgiving turkey with Mommy's family. They had to hold lunch for us because it took us a while to get there, but we ate a delicious dinner and watched some football before heading over to Grandmother's lake house where we stayed until Saturday. It was a great weekend to be at the lake... Cold and rainy. It may not sound that great, but we love to be there at the holidays, enjoy some holiday weather, and sit/play by the fire. Mommy, Aunt Heather, and Grandmother did their day-after-Thanksgiving at the Athens Wal-Mart where they didn't have to fight any crowds and shopped for two hours and barely spent $100!
We went back to Dallas on Saturday afternoon because Aunt Jen Jen was in town from California. She is Mommy's best friend from high school and college and she had never seen Cooper. We left him with Jen's mom and Aunt on Saturday night and went to dinner with her and her sister Cynthia. Then she came over again on Sunday to play. We were so glad to see her and spend some time together.Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! This year, we are thankful for Cooper! We waited for him for a very long time and he has brought us so much joy and delight.
